Very little known attraction of Minneapolis, Stone Arch Bridge is a historic bridge near downtown Minneapolis. You can easily reach this bridge from downtown, either by taking a bus or even walking.
It was January 2010, the entire city was covered with snow and I was getting bored at home. I wanted to go somewhere but was not sure where to go. I started searching for a near by attraction in Minneapolis and found this bridge and decided to go there. The only problem was –15F temperature and a pile of snow that I could see even from my house. But I still decided to go there, I put on some extra jackets, gloves and started towards the bridge.
I reached there somewhere about 1pm in the afternoon. The bridge was almost deserted with not more than 10 people in that area. That’s when I realized that there are many more crazy people like me who are out in that temperature. Anyways – I started walking on the bridge and taking pictures (as I always do) and got some really great snaps. I think more than the bridge itself, the snow and some other moments made this trip successful and enjoyable (and worth travelling all the way in that cold weather).
Following are some of the pictures that I took during my visit -
Here is some history about the place (not sure if you are interested :- )) )
